Each experience informs the reality of the unreality in this photographic series, which questions our belief in photography itself as a documentation of truth.

My intention is to leave the viewer struggling with the ambivalence which exists between artifice and identity, truth and aspiration, sex and sexuality, self and

self-promotion. The persona of an aging thespian and 'hoofer' is acted out to exaggerate these juxtapositions.
